Editable layers

In ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight, I brought in a web map from arcgis online.  When I add the editor tool, I was expecting to be able to edit the layers that came with the web map.  Is this a possiblity or not.

Yes, the workflow you describe should work. Does your Web Map contain an editable feature service?

Hi Derek,

No, I used a compressed shapefile.  I could edit the features on ArcGIS online, so I figured I would be able to edit them in this application.

Hi Chad,

To confirm, the ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight supports web editing using feature services only. It does not enable editing of shapefiles.
