Hi,

When ever I try adding a feature service I created to the application builder, I get an error that says unauthorized access.  I created the feature service and I am the author.  I also am logged into my global account.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Hi Chad,

Do you have the clientaccesspolicy.xml at your web root? You may want to take a look at Making" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197955(VS.95).aspx]... a Service Available Across Domain Boundaries. As an example, you can view the policy file used by ArcGIS Online: http://services.arcgisonline.com/clientaccesspolicy.xml.

Hi Katy,

If I am harvesting the service from my ArcGIS online account, do I need the clientaccesspolicy.xml from ArcGIS online or create my own?  I can harvest non-feature services fine, why do I need access to feature services?  Which Directory do I need to put the clientaccesspolicy.xml?

Thanks,

Chad

Hi Chad,

Apologies, I missed that you were accessing the feature service from ArcGIS Online. In that case, you don't need the clientaccesspolicy.xml file.

Are you able to add other feature and map services to the Builder from ArcGIS Online? Are you able to load the problematic services into an ArcGIS.com map? Are any of your services public so that we could take a look?

Katy,

Thank you for your help.  I realized that I had bing imagery saved in my webmap and that corrupted the other features.  I changed basemaps and now they load fine.
