Hi,
The Swipe/Spotlight widget by Robert Scheitlin does not populate the Active Layers drop down on our live site. It works great in the development environment just not on the live site. Any suggestions why? Please help.
Thank you,
Billy

Billy,

Are you saying that everything about your public site is working  except the Swipe/Spotlight widget? What is your public URL?

Robert,
The only things not working are the Swipe/Spotlight, the eSearch (I posted a different thread on that one), and the Locate widgets (ESRI Support is working on that one). The url to the web site is:
http://65.243.151.72/PublicWeb/index.html. Thanks for the help Robert and feel free to make any suggestions on how I can improve the site.

Billy,

I need to see your modifications to the swipe widget. I assume you made some changes because my original widget did not need a xml file and you ssem to have one that points to your help file.

Robert,
You are right, again. I had the widgets in the Viewer 2.3 all with their own help button and help files. When I migrated to 2.4 I took that out of the widgets but must have overlooked the Swipe/Spotlight widget. I commented out those lines and the widget works fine now. Thanks for all your valuable help.

Billy,

In regards to the public map you listed earlier in this thread, where did you get the snapshot widget?  Did you program it?

If so can you send me a copy of the code.

Also, I have to give you a thumbs up for the Meaning of Life widget!

That rocks!!

Thanks,

I just downloaded the folder and cannot find a .xml file for the Screen Shot widget in the compiled version.  I can find an .mxml file for the uncompiled.

Isn't an .xml file required?

Thanks again,

George,

   No it is not required.

So how does it work then?

I updated my config similiar to that of the example, however nothing seems to happen.

I click on the link and nothing...  I must be missing something.

I know this isn't your widget, so if you don't mind assisting that would be great.
