Hi Robert, I thought i would run this by you to see if you or anyone else has come across a widget that may work for me. I would like to try using a raster chaining for my image service and would like to have a widget that allows a user to access these functions (i.e. hillshade, slope, aspect) on the fly. Have you come across a flex widget that has been developed to display raster functions?

Melissa,

Nope, I have not seen one. Is Raster Chaining even available through an image service, Looking at the docs it looks like a imageservice can have one renderingRule (RasterFunction)?

Yes you can add raster functions when publishing the image service. The article was a far as I got...I was looking for a widget as demonstrated in the link to view application. It makes mention that the sample code was going to be released with 10.2?

Melissa,

I had not seen that widget until now. I guess you will have to wait for 10.2.

Yes the article (link above) said with 10.2 (which we have) and it was created in 2013 so that is why I decided to put out feelers to see if anyone has played around with raster functioning and widget creation. Pretty cool functionality!

Forgot to put the smiley in that post. Obviously it did not make its 10.2 projected source code release date.
