Navigation Widget

When i replace ESRI services with any service from our ArcGIS server, the basemap is shown correctly, but the Zoom slider of the Navigation Widget loses its central bar with ticks; only the "+" and "-" buttons are shown, close to each other, with nothing in the middle.
I tried to set "fullextent" in <map>, but didn't help. What could it be?

Using precompiled FlexViewer 2.1, ArcGIS server 9.3, Firefox 3.6.11

Fil Bul,

   You only get a full zoom slider as you are talking about if your map service is cached/tiled. ESRI's basemaps are tiled and therefor the Zoom slider shows the Levels of Display that are available for that map service. You are likely using a dynamic map service that is visible at any scale so there is not predefined LODs.
