Hello there,

I have a ArcGIS Flex application which was working fine until two days ago. My web applcation stopped working after some Microsoft patches and security updates were applied to the server. The application is running on a Windows server 2008 R2 Standard and IIS 7.

When I used Mozilla Firebug to troubleshoot the problem I found that there is a 499 error (token required) for all service layers. When I try to access the service independantly it asks for user name and password. When I provide the user name and pass it then opens up the requested layer/service. Everything seems to be working fine in ArcGIS Manager on the server so all service seem to be up and running.

Also, the same application pointing to services on the development (dev) server seems to be working fine. When I tried to access the rest services on the dev server they came through without requesting any token (user name and pass). BTW no updates were applied to the dev server.

Seems map services on prod server went from public to private after the updates. Any idea how to change this in ArcGIS Manager or IIS? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Patricia,

Sure in Manager just click on the padlock icon and change to private to public.
