Imagery date

Is there an easy, reliable way for my users to get the capture date for imagery in a particular area in the flex viewer?  

I see two dates in the source credits on the map - Microsoft 2013 and Navteq 2010.   I know that the imagery for my area is from 2010, so I'm assuming the Navteq date is the correct one (although there's nothing to indicate which of those two sources is the imagery).

I found where to get specific dates from ArcGIS Online -  http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/arcgisonline-content/index.html#//011q0000001z000000 - but it'd be nice to have that info from within Flex directly.

Am I (once again) missing something obvious?
