Flex 3.4 - Edit Widget - Update Attributes doesn't seem to work

Hello Users,

I have just upgraded to Flex 3.4 to enjoy the many new features. But I came across the problem of "Update Attributes", wich is part of the Edit Widget, not working. The other edit tool seem to work fine. But all I want to do is to let the user of my viewer update attribute information of existing features without changing the geometry. The application doesn't seem to let me select the existing feature and it also doesn't bring up the attribute window that lets the user view and change attribute information.

It seemed to work perfectly fine in Flex 3.0. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? If so - is there a work-around to make attribute editing work in 3.4?

Thanks Mike, that's good to know - will have to go back to 3.3. then until the bug gut fixed.

.. oh it seems attribute editing doesnt work in 3.3 either - has anybody found a work-around for this bug? I really dont want to go back to any previous versions as they didnt have the capabilities that I need for this viewer or bugs that were quite annoying. Attibute editing worked fine in 3.0.

.. and finally - after having gone back to flex 3.0 which I used for all my viewers before I have come across another problem that seems unexplainable. Even though I did completely uninstall the previous versions of flex and re-installed the old 3.0 version of flex - I now dont seem to be able to edit the attributes of my editable data layers of any new as well as existing application in the edit widget. The edit pencil that usually appears on the right hand side next to the list of editable layers has disappeared completely.

Does anybody know what happened? what would I have to do to get my application builder back to how it appeared before I up - and then downgraded it. As I said - I did actually uninstall the last flex application, then re-installed (instead of replacing) the old 3.0 builder. Then I restarted the server to start fresh again. nothing seemed to have helped.

I hope somebody has come across this problem before and would be able to share some solutions.

My issue is that sometimes I can click on a feature and the attribute window displays, and sometime not.  The only way I can consistently make the attribute window appear to edit is when I use the select tool within the edit tool, rather than trying to click on a feature.  Once I select the feature with the select tool, I then have to click on the selection to get the attribute window to appear.  Has anyone had luck consistently being able to click on features and have window appear?

Apparently, the viewer doesn't like lines of size 1 very much.  Never thought changing the size to > 1 would resolve this, but it did.
