Good Morning,  I am using eSearch 2.5.0.5, Flexviewer 2.5, Arc 10 sp3, flex 4.5, and agslib 2.5  I can repeat this error.  I run eSearch, select a parcel by point, buffer it, search entities using intersected by, show results in grid (floating), close grid.  I leave eSearch open and repeat the steps.  When I click show results in grid I receive this:  ArgumentError: $someTempUICToRemoveAfterFinished is not found in this Group.   If I leave the floating grid open I do not receive the error.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

By the way, I love this tool!  Thank you in advance!

Luci,

Are you saying that you are using the uncompiled code for the eSearchWidget and are compiling it using the Adobe 4.5 SDK? I have tried numerous time using eSearch 2.5.0.6, Flexviewer 2.5, Arc 10 sp3, flex SDK 4.1, agslib 2.5, and Flash Builder 4.6. I don't believe that the eSearch 2.5.0.6 would help this as it was just a fixed datagrid error patch release.

Robert,

Yes, I am using the uncompiled eSearch 2.5.0.5 and uncompiled Flexviewer 2.5    I do not have Flash Builder 4.6  I will check Adobe for an update.  The only SDK's avail for my project in Flash Builder 4.5 are Flex 3.6, 4.5, & 4.51

Thanks, Luci

Luci,

So if you did not change it from the default SDK than you would be building it using 4.5.1 than. I will build against that and see if I can duplicate the error you are getting. BTW esri Flex Viewer is built using the 4.1 SDK. You can download different SDK versions from here:

http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/UsingFlashBuilder/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-fb4ed5124020245e3-7ff8.htm...

and the Flash Builder 4.6 update is available from here:

https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flash_builder

Details about the need to uninstall 4.5 first:

I changed the SDK to 4.5   I asked for the Adobe post announce upgrade to 4.6 and probably will not receive it for a couple of days.  I am downloading 4.1A and 4.0A SDKs   I will try the 4.1A after install and let you know if I still get the error.

Thanks!

I am happy to say that by switching to the Flex 4.1A sdk the error does not appear and all of the other widgets are still working!

Thank you Robert!

I spoke to soon about the 4.1A SDK fixing the problem.  It fixed one and added another - now I cannot modify Designs, I receive the error -  "The Design Mode is disabled as the project uses an incompatible version of the Flex SDK" - I am waiting for Adobe to give me permission to download Flashbuilder 4.6 which will probably fix this new error.   According to Adobe - Flashbuilder 4.5 does not support design mode with the 4.0 or 4.1 SDK versions!

Thanks,

Luci

Luci,

That is a common error received when you attempt to use a SDK that is not 3.6, 4.5 or 4.5.1 in the Flash Builder 4.5.x. The only thing that this effects is not being able to use design view though. The next release of the eSearch widget will support SDK 4.5, 4.5.1 or 4.6 without the first error you ran into.
