I have over 25 layers in my service that I want users to be able to extract from my service. The Flex 2.1 data extract widget had a scroll bar inside of the Step 2 portion of the widget. This would allow users to scroll through several layers and select the ones they wanted to extract. Since Flex 2.2 this scroll has been missing from the widget.
It is now one large scroll for the entire widget. Can the ESRI development team please add the scroll bar back inside of Step 2, so if you have several layers users can select the layers that are toward the bottom?

Please see attached picture.

Thanks Bjorn, I am glad ESRI is looking into fixing this issue in the 10.2 release but you guys need to realize that most agencies are a year or more away from upgrading to 10.2. We really need a patch to be created for 10.0 and 10.1 users, which is 99% of current ESRI users right now.

So, once you create the fix for the new version could you also create a patch that we can add into 10.0 and 10.1? This is more important to us than creating a fix for a new release that we will not use for at least another year.

Thanks,
Mike

I think he's referring to the next Flexviewer/Flex API release (v3.5), not ArcGIS 10.2.

I'm running DataExtractWidget on 3.1.

When I make the widget window too small to view all the layers at once, the scrollbar appears.

It seems to work fine for certain cases but not all.  I've created https://github.com/Esri/arcgis-viewer-flex/issues/157 as a bug to be fixed for next release.

Correct - that is what I meant to say 🙂

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. What is the estimated time of release for Flex 3.5?

Check Bjorn's link above. Then click Milestones.

Looks like Esri is on about a 3-month release schedule right now for the API.

To answer your question: V3.5 is due in 2 months according to GitHub, and that is only an estimate.
