Hi, I get the following error when trying to draw lines, polygons using the Draw widget. I can add text. This is also only occurring from certain machines within the same network. I don't believe this a security error. It seems more likely that it is a library issue on individual machine? It appears  to be the machine as all projects that use Draw widget are broken on that machine so it does't look like it is a corrupt swf for the Draw widget.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to isolate the issue?  What is the Draw widget doing that is different from all the other widgets that are working on the suspect machines? I have thought of the geometry service which the the esri one but this has been working for a long time.

The general setup has been stable for some time.

Ian,

Just because you have always been using the esri geometry service for the draw widget does not mean that it might not be the issue. besides you would get better response by switching to your geometry service. Give it a try.

Hi Richard, I have created a geomerty service and supopse the draw widget is using it. I have put it in the widget config and also in the main config file.

Investiagting a bit more, The Draw widget allows graphics to be drawn without error, but when I switch on measurements I get the error.

in the eDraw widget, I get an error immediately I try to finish a point, polygon ...

Both Draw and eDraw work from another machines in our network, some with XP some with Windows 7, so it is not likely both the Draw and eDraw sfw's are both corrupt!

All Web Apps that I have do not work wrt Draw/eDraw when accessed from my machine.
This appears to be machine specific and thefore to do with flash version or the libraries dowloaded.
I am continually clearing out the Internet Explorer cache on my machine while testing. Other machines may not have done this for a while.

Any thoughts grtefully received.

Hi Ivan, as far as I know, I am only using my server and was using the ESRI geometry server. So I don't think the problem is a cross domain file.

Also, a machine next to me may not exhibit this error.

Ian,

My suggestion would be to install fiddler on one of the machines exhibiting those symptoms and see that shows up in red. Also compare the Flash Player versions on the machines. Use this URL for that:
