I have created a custom indicator for my ArcGIS Urban model that uses a web scene with a hosted feature layer, showing existing density per parcel. I have also created a dashboard using the same web scene, where I have added a dynamic gauge widget.
I notice that when I pan around in the Urban model while viewing the indicator data, I see that the dashboard continually refreshes, each time I pan. But the data output in the gauge does not change. So there still isn't a connected map action controlling the dashboard gauge data input.
My question: Is it actually possible to link the dashboard and the Urban model indicator web scene, so that the gauge can show the average data within the web scene's extent? I didn't really expect this, but I am curious, since there obviously is some kind of connection, seeing that the dashboard refreshes on changes in the web scene extent.
Hey @MLindauLanghelle ,
Thank you for the interesting question! It is currently not possible to dynamically connect the web scene and dashboard within ArcGIS Urban as you describe. Feel free to add this request to the ArcGIS Urban Ideas page so that we can track it there!
Let me know if you have more questions around this.
Thanks,
Thierry
Thanks @ThierryWeber ,
it't not a big issue, but I am curious what causes the dashboard to refresh each time you move around the model? There seems to be some trigger, that I am wondering if can be utilized in any way.
