Hello,

Is it possible to change the symbology of the Existing buildings of the Schematic view?

We are using a multipatch feature layer hosted on ArcGIS Online for the buildings. A symbology based on an attribute was applied in ArcGIS Pro prior to uploading it into Online.

In the Realistic view, my symbology is applied but not in the Schematic view where all buildings are white.  Why this is working in the Realistic view but not in the Schematic view?

In the Realistic view some buildings are dark gray and other white as wanted:

In the Schematic view, all the buildings are white:

Thank you for your help!

Hi @MaximeDemers

Thank you for your question. This behavior is expected.

  • The schematic view always shows the buildings in white to provide a clean look of your Urban model without having to additionally style the buildings in an external app.
  • The realistic view is intended to show buildings with additional details (e.g., facade texture). In this view, ArcGIS Urban doesn't change the symbology.

Please add an idea to ArcGIS Urban Ideas with additional details about your use case and we will look into this request.

In ArcGIS Urban, existing buildings are currently intended to be purely visual. If you would like to show additional information/attributes about your existing buildings, please consider using Indicators (in the overview) or Context Layers (in plans or projects) instead.
