Hello
I am trying to set up a survey using an existing feature layer so am looking to use S123 Connect to do this. My organisation doesn't allow me to download Connect to my desktop, so I hope to use it on a virtual machine. However Excel desktop is not available on this virtual machine. I do have access to my Office 365 account - is there a way to link Survey123 Connect to Excel on Office 365?
Thank you
No. It needs desktop Excel.
That sounds like a frustrating environment to work in. I'd try and talk them into allowing Excel on that virtual machine at least.
Thank you for the reply - at least I know not to chase it any further. Unfortunately this virtual machine has rules that make it unlikely that I'll be able to install Excel. I'll look at other options.
Is the problem with Excel and the VM a matter of licensing? I use LibreOffice Calc (open source Excel clone) to work with Survey123 Connect and it works fine, maybe you could install LibreOffice on the VM?
Yes it's a licensing issue, so I will try with Libre Office thank you
