Our organization has surveys that we close after the year ends with a link to the currently active survey when they pull up the old form. Except, somehow employees are still able to submit responses to the closed surveys. This leads to us having to manually move their data to the newest feature layer to keep up with it.
We have tried forcing the user to update the survey to get the closing statement to pop up, which doesn't seem to work. And telling them to stop using it and delete it from their Survey123 app doesn't seem to work either. How do we get people to stop submitting to these closed surveys? I don't want to delete the old form all together just in case they don't have the new survey link, so I'd like them to get to the 'survey closed' statement with the new link.
Any help or suggestions appreciated as we're new to the process!

Hi @Bailey_Briggs,
Block submissions at the layer level using a hosted feature layer view with filters. Then repoint your survey to that view. This stops late entries even if users don’t update the app. Add a “Survey Closed” note with logic in the form to guide them to the new link. Don’t rely on user behavior. Let tech enforce it.
