select_one from text field

Can I force the survey to make a select_one choice from a text field in a previous question?

EG: I have a text field that is concatenating two other text fields into a value say "al" I want to make a selection in a corresponding select_one field where the name is "al"  The last I knew this wasn't possible, so I have been  using some complicated workarounds to make this work, but it is adding a bunch of extra unnecessary fields to my form. #survey123 choices‌

Hi,

It sounds like you are asking about calculations on select_one fields.  That is currently not supported; we are looking to resolve this in a future release.
