Maximum file size for an image attachment doesn't affect in ArcGIS Survey123 app

I have created a survey from Survey Connect and created a survey from the web (portal 11.4). And set the maximum file size at 1MB. The result works well when I submit the survey by web, but when I submit it by app, it seems like the limitation means nothing.

Web: can't submit, warning maximum size

App: able to submit, file preview not show, can open submitted file on survey management web

As checked, the file size more than 10MB is able to submit from app.image (4).pngสื่อ (2).jpg

Got me then?  I did find this that the max-size should apply in field app too? Looks like conflicting information. Hopefully someone else may be of more help.
