Hello! I am using the beta assistant in computer vision for a survey that I had already done before, but today I am getting an error that says: automatic analysis is disabled for this survey. Enter the value manually.
We have the AI assistant enabled in our organizations and we do not understand why this might be happening.

Thank you and have a good day.

Hi Pilar. The message you describe shows when the user completing the form is not signed-in.

Inmediatly after you load the survey in your browser, you will likely see a red warning at the top saying: "This survey contains a feature that doesn't work anonymously'.

If you ignore the message, the form will present the second message when the calculation attempts to run.

To fix this, make sure you are logged-in while completing the survey

For context, computer vision calculations are not designed to work in surveys unless someone is logged-in.

I am having the exact same issue - I am only sharing this with my ORG, but it still says "analysis is disabled". 😞 What should I do? I am trying to count bicycles from photographs in order to teach a workshop on this to others.   Thank you. Joseph Kerski

Hmm..  Lets make sure the AI calculations are configured.

  1. Make sure AI assistants are enabled in your organization. I bet that this is the case, but lets make sure. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/administer/configure-assistants.htm
  2. Make sure Beta features are not blocked. Again, I think this setting will be correct, but lets double check. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/administer/configure-security.htm#ESRI_SECTION2_CE007AFEA465...
  3. Finally, lets make sure AI features are not disabled in Survey123. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/get-started/organizationsettings.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_72AA7FFD77C84...

I believe the problem is going to be in #3 above. Here is a screenshot highlighting what you have to turn on. Remember that to access this dialog, you need to login into survey123.arcgis.com using admin credentials in your org.
