Date type to not include automatic 12:00 time in a survey submission

Hello! I created a survey123 that I have added the results of the survey to my experience builder as a dynamic text. Though for some reason there is a timestamp that is associated with the date that is set to 12:00. I have the type set to just "date", so I am unsure why a time keeps appearing. I do not want the time to be displayed, how can I hide the time from the dynamic text or how can I fix my survey123 to not allow this time to be added with the date?

Up until last year Arc only had date/time combo fields so there always had to be a time.  123 had a date type and defaults to noon.

The new date only and time only are out now https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/time-is-on-your-side-with-new-field-...

and i think i saw 123 supports them now but there have been several posts on it not working correctly (maybe just in the web map?). 

You may have to specifically change the esri bind type column.

Has anyone got them to work yet?
