I am trying to use Survey123 with GNSS metadata fields to capture elevation values. My question is does Survey 123 calculate a Z value in the app as you are collecting the point and calculate the geometry from that into a MSL elevation value internally or do you have to calculate it in the web map through a model in ArcGIS Pro?
Just trying to understand how Survey123 handles Z values

Hi @SLouq
check this blog: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-blog/working-with-z-values-in-survey123/ba-p/895011 Very old post, but the content is still current.
Also, in the Survey123 mobile app, go to Settings-Location to set the altitude type as appropriate for your GNSS receiver
