Surely there is a way to mark (with a location, i.e a geopoint) the start and the end of a survey? And points of interest along the way?
ThanksJames Tedrick ,really the intention of the question was to know if even if there is no geopoint in the form, a point element is created in the database anyway and displayed on the map.
