User is attaching photos to the survey, via Image question.

  • Using CustomURL, user is opening Survey123 from Explorer.
  • Filling out questions.
  • When it comes to an Image question, user is clicks Home button and opens Camera app, takes photo, then opens Survey123 again and uses Folder icon to attach recently taken image. Then the follow occurs

All Images act in similar fashion there after on survey.

If the user uses the Camera icon and takes photo directly from Survey123, the issue does not occur.

The reason for using the Camera app, was in previous Survey123 versions we had issues with the Camera icon function and the workflow outlined above allowed the user to save the images in case of errors in sending or saving to drafts.

Hi Carl,

Are you still experiencing this issue with the recent 3.1 release of the field app? We recently made some updates to the camera and other improvements to the app, so I would be interested to see if this has been resolved for you.

The Survey123 camera app has also been updated to support unrestricted sizes and better performance, and the way we submit attachments was improved a few versions ago to reduce failed submissions or errors on sending.
