Annotate default image

Hi,

I used to have an image question, set with the appearance of Annotate.  I had a default image stored in the media file, which you could then click on and annotate with the sketch tools.

In version 3.11.164 of Survey123, this no longer works.  The default image is pre-loaded, but there is no way of annotating it.  Also, the annotate option now makes you take a photo first, before then giving you the options to browse for a photo, or clear the canvas which is a bit annoying.

Is there any way to either annotate a default image or start with a clear canvas?

Thanks!

Claire

Hi @ClaireMWood,

Yes, what you are seeing is correct. In 3.11 release, and you will see the same in latest 3.12 release, compared to earlier version, the default behaviour is now different. We are now using the correct and expected behaviour as per XLSForm specification.

That being said, there are also now new ways you can control what the default behaviour for draw and annotate is. This is done via the body::esri:style column. See the below documentation for further information:

Phil.
