Trying to run a Zonal Statistics analysis and keep getting errors:
I have a shapefile of 800+ xy data points (lat/long), and a DEM raster. I need to run a zonal analysis to obtain the elevations of my data points from the DEM.
So far, I can't run a successful analysis. The errors I get are either "serious Background Processing Error" or it says that the output name is already used and needs to be overwritten (there is no other files by the same name, and even if i overwrite it comes up with the same error.)
Any ideas where I'm going wrong? I am using a free trial of ArcGIS 10, as my university version did not have extension tools enabled.
