Trouble with masking during Kriging interpolation

Hello,

Using ArcGIS 10 and having trouble with kriging interpolation extent forming to the boundaries of my assigned mask.  I assigned the mask through kriging, environments, raster analysis, mask.  I have tried setting the processing extent, also in the environments tab, to a larger size but cannot use a mask and processing extent at same time. There is an error message of missing output prediction raster even when one is specified. Attached is an image of the mask (shown in red) and kriging interpolation top layer displayed in black and white. As you can see the interpolation does not reach the masks extent. I know there is a process of clipping after setting a larger extent however I would really like to streamline the process and do it all in one.  Couple of days ago and earlier in the day it mapped the full extent. I went on break came back and all of the sudden it doesn't like to fully fill the entire mask with the interpolation.

Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you.

I have the same problem with NN interpolationon a multipoint file.

I have a multipoint shapefile w/ a few thousand points (NOAA Survey H10667) that I convert into WGS84 UTM 10, then create a mask with Cartography/generalization/aggregate points.

I don't even mess with processing extent, but have to go through an extra step of trimming to the mask after processing ends, which is less than ideal if you have nearby points outside the mask that you don't want to influence the results.

Natural Neighbor interpolation in ArcGIS does not support a Mask. See help, viz.
Environments supported
Cell Size, Current Workspace, Output Coordinate System, Extent, Scratch Workspace, Snap Raster

it also does not allow you to extrapolate outside the convex hull.

Hope this helps.

Runtime error <type 'exceptions.RuntimeError'>: ERROR 010422: Error in processing the environment mask.

Me marca este error al sumar dos archivos raster (formato GRID)
¿En que consiste este error y como puedo solucionarlo??
