Tool like Point and Line Density for Polygons?

Hello,

I have to calculate a magnitude-per-unit area from polygone-features that fall within a neighborhood around each cell. Is there a tool like Point Density for polygon-features?

I'm still rather confused as to what you are trying to accomplish here, but I'll attempt a possible solution.

Could you use

1) Create Random Points​ to generate a multipoint feature class constrained by your polygons

2) Spatial Join​  to get your population_field from your polygon

3) run Point Density​ on your population field

Or if you want to generate equally spaced points in your polygons by running

1) Polygon to Raster​

2) Raster to Point​

3) Spatial Join​ with your polygon and generated points to get your population_field

4) Dissolve​ your points on the population_field

5) run Point Density​
