Hello,

I have unlocked the spatial analyst et al. as shown on the screenshot. Whenever I try to use the spatial Analyst I get an error saying:

unable to exceture the selected tool.

You do not have the necessary licence to execute the selected tool. ERROR 010248: There are no Spatial Analyst or 3D Analyst licences currently available or enabled.

I use windows 7 64bit and I start ArcMap as a system administrator.

Please help me, I need the extensions to do my coursework.

Best Regards,
Lance

PS: I use ArcMap 9.3

Lance, did you enable the extension in Customize menu > Extensions? You need to do it in order to access the geoprocessing tools as well as work with toolbars of the extension.

Yes I have enabled the following: Main Menu, 3D Analyst, Draw, Georef., Spatial Analyst, Standard and Tools. However I get the same error as before.

Please let me know if there is any more information I can provide in order to solve the problem.

Hm, do we talk about the same thing? Could you please elaborate on what you mean by "enabled Main Menu and Draw etc". Did you right-click in ArcMap somewhere on free space and added toolbars? This is one thing. Another thing is that you need to go to the Customize menu in ArcMap and then choose Extensions. There you can enable extensions not the toolbars.

Problem solved, my bad! I had only activated the toolbars not the actual service.

Thank you 🙂
