Is it true that the FocalStatistics function in Python is supporting less statistics types?

I'm missing the following:

  • MAJORITY

  • MEDIAN

  • MINORITY

  • VARIETY

The Python Help shows them all (see attached PNG), but using one that's not listed will result in an error?

Are they going to be implemented?

What is your input data type?

If the input raster is of floating point type, only the Mean, Maximum, Minimum, Range, STD and Sum statistics are available. If the input raster is of integer type, all the statistics types are available.

Yep, that must be the reason. My input data type is floating.

Thanx!

hi Xander.

Good catch!  This information should have been in the documentation for this tool, so I have just added it.  It should appear in the web help over the next day or two.

thanks,
Juan
