What did you do? The help topics are quite specific regarding requirements Euclidean Distance—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

perhaps this link will clarify things. Understanding Euclidean distance analysis—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

So provide details of tool entries and conditions and environment settings if that doesn't help

See Dan's post.

I think we need more detail on what you have done, the data, and what you are trying to achieve.

ok, I hve been provided with

- land cover

- population

- river network

- town centre

I need to determine a suitable location for treatment facility and it has to be

1. it must come in place of the current agricultural land

2. it should be within 500 meter of a river

3. the population within a 1000 meter radius of the facility should be as small as possible

4. the distance from the central town centre should  be minimized

5. the distance from existing urban areas should be minimized

Now, I have to create suitability maps for criteria 1 - 5.

for the distance i am requested to use the euclidean distance and for the 1000 meter radius, i have to use the focal statistics tool.

I have to combine the maps using the raster calculator.

Please, i need some guidance.

This is either a homework assignment or a take-home exam.  You will have to show what you have attempted.  I can lead you to the help files ...  ArcMap Tools Tool reference  but you will have to swim from there.
