I'm creating a viewshed for a road which has several points marked along it's length. I want to create a viewshed which shows more than a visible/not visible classification and instead shows how visible the road based on how many of the points along its length are visible from everywhere on the raster surface. If that makes any sense, does anyone know how I might achieve this?
Have a look at the Observer Points Tool: Using Viewshed and Observer Points for visibility analysis—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
Hi,
I've found that the issue with these tools is that they will work for a maximum of 16 points. I have over 200. Do you know how to get around this without doing them 16 at a time then adding together? Thanks
That is the limit, so you need to run them in batches or re-examine your observer point requirements to ensure that they are significantly different from one another, or could 2 be combined into 1, but repositioning at an alternate location
