Hello,I need some guidance.I have a set of individual shapefiles (polygons) on various land Use/Land cover.I need to classify them into one layer named LandUse but containing different categories.How do i this?

I do not want to use the long classification method from the image,since i already have the shapefiles on landuse/landCover.

Do the shapefiles have a common field in their tables that contains the classification name so that you could merge them all into one feature class using a 'merge'
