Hello - I am trying to create a DEM using a number of different inputs including contours, elevation points, streams and lakes. I can create a DEM without any issues using the contour layers but continually get the message "ERROR 010089: %1 is not a supported feature type." The layers are added in and the input type is set appropriately. I can't figure out what is going wrong. Anyone else come across this? I am using 10 SP2.

What type of data triggers this?

BTW, multipart data are not supported in TopoToRaster.

Thanks
Steve

I've got 6 files that I hope to use:
- metric contours (lines)
- imperial contours (lines)
- imperial points
- metric points
- streams (lines pointing in the right direction)
- lakes (polygons with an elevation value assigned to them)
The 2 contour files work together no problem. Adding in the points layers to the contours (with out the hydrology layers) or trying the points layers on their own gives me the error message.

The points are not multipoint are they?

If not, could you zip the points and email them to me (slynch@esri.com)

Thanks

I am trying to convert point to raster. But the tool point to raster and topo to raster are not working. I attached the file here which I want to convert to raster. Thanks.

The points are not multipoint are they?

It turns out they are multipoints. I split them up using the multipart to singlepart tool and the entire process works fine now. Thanks Steve.
