Distance Decay Report - Wierd error

I seem to be getting a weird error when trying to preform a distance Decay report, after running through and processing the SA's I get a popup message of "there are no analysis layers in this extent", and then the solver exits. Any ideas on this? 
I have set my extent, and created a custom BDS for this analysis.
Trying from the Distance Decay Tool after the SAPolygons are processed I recieve the following error:

ERROR 080001: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Failed to execute (DistanceDecayReport).

Any one have any Ideas on a work around to get this to work?

Have you tried running the Distance Decay report and selecting Standard Business Analyst data (instead of the custom BDS)?

Using a standard BDS gives me results, but I recieve a 80001 error when I try to use a custom BDS or non-BDS layer through the wizard or GP tool.
