Choose parts of solution to deploy

I would like to be able to choose which parts of a solution I would like to deploy. Sometimes I need a survey, sometimes I just need a hub (or sites) page. As it is now, I have to download the solution, figure out what parts I need, figure out what is connected to those parts and then delete what I don't need (while hoping I don't accidentally delete something I actually do need.) I would like to to say "hey, I need this hub and this app, but I don't need the survey." select the Hub and the App and their dependencies and just go with it.

I’m 100% on board with any idea that gives us more control of how solutions are deployed.

Most solutions are very difficult to incorporate with existing data and applications to begin with. And they’re also bloated with too much content that is typically unused (especially when trying to incorporate existing workflows).

This requires us to unwire the solution just to write back together what we need. Thus negating any benefit of the solution.

The ability to deploy individual information products in an ArcGIS Solution is something we are considering long-term.  

I would encourage everyone to use the What you Get and new ArcGIS Solutions Diagrams to learn more about the information products in a solution.  The diagrams offer a comprehensive view of each ArcGIS item contained in a solution and helps you quickly understand dependencies between items.  It will help you quickly understand which ArcGIS items you might need if you just want to use a specific capability in a solution.
