ESRI Sample Server Maps

I wold like to publish a mobile app that uses the maps hosted on ESRI's sample server, is this permitted even if I attribute credit to ESRI for the maps?  I know the basemap needs the ESRI icon, but what about using the choropleth maps?

From a licensing perspective, there is no issue with you doing this. You can find the proper attribution for your iOS app here on the resource center:

http://resources.arcgis.com/content/attribution

You should add to your attribution the REST URL for each of the services that you use. Each service contains attribution for the content it displays.
