I am noticing that TileCacheTask is really slow. With a wi-fi connection that is speed tested at 25 mb/second it takes about 8 minutes to generate a 3 mb cache. With this kind of slowness this solution does not seem very realistic.
Secondly I see no ability to track the progress of the download. The only value that can be harvested appears to be the estimated size of the download (tileCacheTask.estimateTileCacheSize) but nothing as far as progress.
Just curious if there is anyway to speed up the process and also to track the status of a download?
