Should we be moving off the 10.2.9 API and into the new 100.4.0?

Hello

I wrote an application using the 10.2.9 API. However, I see that there is a 100.4.0 Runtime SDK for Android. Should we be using that instead now? Can I choose between one or the other? Thanks

Hi Thomas,

The ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android version 10.2.9 is currently in the Mature Support phase. Therefore, there will not be any software updates, patches, or new environment certification. This version is also scheduled to be retired on December 1, 2019. You can find more information here.

It is very much recommended to migrate your 10.2.x applications to 100.x. You can find more information on the comparison between the two versions at the following documentation page: Migrate to 100.x from 10.2.x.

I would also suggest working through the DevLabs on the ArcGIS for Developers site to get used to 100.x since there are some differences between the two versions.

Hope this helps!
