We are requesting png8 format images from a map service. The service has mostly the service defaults set. The only changes are on the capabilities in terms of session timeout and maximum height and width. When we request png8 + image transparency we get a transparent png32 image, not a png8 image. A request to the same service for png8 + no image transparency does return a png8 image, but it, of course, has no transparency. Has anyone seen this, know of a known limitation or perhaps a workaround?
