How to disconnect a point from a line?

I am working on an add-in function to merge 2 lines into 1.
This edit is performed in a branched version and involves with utility network.

I have achieved the merge process but the point is still attached to the line.
How should I disconnect the point from the line since the user requirement said the point should not be deleted?

merge1.png showed the lines and the point before the edit.
merge2.png showed that the line move as I move the point.

When I do this it delete the full line. Maybe because it is a pivot graph? I want to remove the data point, not the label only, I know how to remove the label. Best solution I found is to move the data out the table from where are the data coming, but it's not optimum. Thanks for your help https://mobdro.bio/
