Hello,
I found what appears to be a display issue in ArcGIS Pro 3.6.1 Local Scene.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new ArcGIS Pro project.
- Add a new Local Scene and remove the default 2D map.
- Add an elevation source (DEM) to the Ground surface.
- Add an imagery raster layer.
- Add or remove the elevation source again.
Expected behavior:
The imagery layer should be displayed immediately after the elevation source is added or removed.
Actual behavior:
Immediately after adding or removing the elevation source, only the blue ocean background is displayed. The imagery layer is not rendered.
If I simply zoom out using the mouse wheel, the imagery appears immediately. Pressing F5 does not resolve the issue.
Additional information:
- This issue occurs even in a brand new ArcGIS Pro project.
- No ArcGIS Pro SDK add-in is involved.
- The issue occurs using only the standard ArcGIS Pro UI.
- The same behavior occurs when removing an elevation source, not only when adding one.
- I tested both with no vertical coordinate system and with "WGS 1984 Ellipsoidal Height"; the behavior is unchanged.
- I do not remember seeing this behavior in ArcGIS Pro 3.4.
Has anyone experienced the same issue?
Is this a known issue in ArcGIS Pro 3.6.1?
If so, has it already been fixed in a later 3.6.x patch (for example 3.6.4)?
Unfortunately, I cannot share the DEM because it belongs to my customer.
However, the issue is reproducible with a newly created project and the standard ArcGIS Pro UI.
Thank you.
