Hello GeoNet,
I am working with a colleague. I have some experience with Pro.
My colleague stated that up until today she was able to locate a point using x,y coordinates.
Today, upon trying to repeat the process the tool did not work.
Any suggestions?
Does the tool work for various systems used to represent lat/lon or do we need to input a specific coordinate format/system?
Thanks.
Doug
Is your colleague trying to create a new point using an XY coordinate within an edit session in Pro or is she using the Go to XY command on the Map core tab?
Thanks, Robert. She was given a lat/lon and asked to find it on a
map/aerial photograph so she can identify what is located at the
coordinates.
I still need to learn Pro.

No worries - here's a screen grab of one way to find the XY coordinates. Using AGP 2.3.x, I clicked on Go To XY on the Map Tab and entered the Lat/Long coordinates on the interface bottom center of the map. You can change the units of measure by clicking the dd dropdown if you like. Hope this helps!
Thanks!

Hi Robert,
I may need to rephrase my question as follows: "Is there an 'on/off' switch
for the xy location tool?" My colleague cannot open the tool in order to
import coordinates. Thanks.
In a way, yes. To "turn off" the Goto XY command, click Explore tool located on the Map Core tab. To "turn on" the Goto XY command, click the command on the Map Core tab. The commands are both in the Navigate group.
