Why is ArcGIS Pro so slow? To select assets, field calculate, display layers, change symbology... the easiest of tasks that are commonly utilized within ArcMap are a drag on the software.

When will ArcGIS Pro become faster than ArcMap? That will be the day it could replace it as the goto product for GIS professionals.

Here's a new way to waste time:

Turn on another raster to do something with and Pro decides to style the top raster to a previous style.

No amount of refresh will show the correct symbology until you turn off the other raster.

just wanted to run a quick profile.

If you dare try to edit / fix the style it mess up the label text, likely break the function chain.
Just quietly turn off the bottom raster, open a new Pro instance and do whatever you wanted to do there.

Trying to figure out why Pro is slow while editing a small attribute table from a dataset in a FGDB on a local share.

When you paste an entry into a field it makes a bunch of http calls to the licensing service.

This is from 1x paste!!

The URL is: https://www.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/portals/MYAGOL/subscriptionInfo?token=MYTOKEN

2 seconds where the UI is unresponsive.  This is not updating the basemap or anything productive - just license calls!!
Multiply over an editing session and I am waiting around for minutes.

@KoryKramer  is this expected behaviour?

Guess how Pro is exporting this series. Individual PDFs? Nope.

I look away for a minute and then wanted to open 'one' of the pdfs to see what it looks like - because I don't trust Pro to not find a way to screw up a map. Couldn't find the drill hole I was looking for so first thought I must've forgotten to double check the export folder.
Look again and recognise the project name sans suffix. #$#$!
Check the export settings and they are as above.

Worst still, there is a UI bug that means the single page option isn't even listed after you cancel the export.

You may be able to fix it by clicking around to another map or window, selecting the layout again, going to export again, and maybe it will show the correct options; maybe you have to restart Pro.
Maybe it's fixed in 3.4 but that apparently has PDF export issues.
