Apparently there was a small message at the top of the Clip window about some unsaved changes. Not sure what it has to do with it, because it doesn't show up when I do Clip on other layers. So I assume it is because I was clipping a hosted layer?

New to Pro, and feeling like a dummy here.
I have a hosted feature layer that I'm trying to clip to a certain area. I created a shapefile and drew a polygon. Then I used Clip to create a clipped shapefile. simple right? The created shapefile appears in my contents, but there is nothing in the map.
Visibility is toggled to 'on'. the symbology is just a single colour. using 'zoom to layer' takes me to the spot it should be, but it isn't there. There are items in the attribute table. selecting one item and zooming to it briefly flashed the item before it dissapeared. (so I know SOMETHING is there at least) I've been messing with the visibility range, but so far no change.
What am I missing?
