Hi, it's me or something change in tics positions. For more than 30 years, my tics, for UTM grids was flag outside. Now, the tics are outside in the 3.6.1. The feature of put inside are out or it's something ESRI change to make our work more unproductive ? I use for years the same grid definition. I'm lost
Hello @MarcelSt-Germain , please could you post some brief notes on how you set up this grid, and a couple of screenshots showing how this used to work for you, compared to what you see now in ArcGIS Pro 3.6.1.
Hi, you can see in this two exemples the problem. I always use the same grid templates, So in map1 the tics are inside but in map2 the tics are outside with the same parameters.. I try to reload the same grid and the results is now ok. I think something append in the project.
I am unaware of any changes made to grid tick placement that would cause this. In my many years of testing grids in both ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro I've never seen ticks draw outside of the map frame with a positive offset. I cannot recall any previous issues, or any current issue, regarding this either.
Unfortunately, your screenshots do not show the properties of the ticks. They seem to show properties of grid labels. You say you are using a "template". I'm assuming that by "template" you mean grid style. There could be an issue with Pro's interpretation of the properties within your "template" or style.
Can you contact Esri Support? They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support.
Thanks,
Tom
I am curious. I don't use it like what you are doing but did you import it from ArcMap ?
No, I always make new grids since in arcmap imports the results is awards.
Oh okay, maybn when you import from ArcMap it can change and so you would have to manual fix it. I had the same issues before and I had a lot of mxd to import and it changes. I don't know if there is resolve for that from ESRI .
For me, in import, I always replace the grids. I made some models and use them. It's a small problem, I do not think they will repaired this.
