Hi there

We are working on a new usecase around utilising map series pages to allow some less speclist users to create PDF exportsof specific areas.

This process requires them selecting and filtering by specific features to then export the layout as a PDF.

As this is currently set up within the map series layout when you tick on

This clips everything including the basemap, first question is do anyone know if it is possible to keep the clip function but not including on the basemap. Or is it possible to apply a second basemap that sits in the back ground as a seperate map which the clipped map sits ontop of ?

The other potential option is setting up some sort of function where when you select which feature you want to zoom into to it only shows this one? (see image)

Whereas at the moment it always displays all of these while focusing on a specific one.

I hope that makes sense, feel free to drop any question or suggestions.

All the best

Hi @EdHixson

You can achieve this by setting the clip function on the map properties rather than in the map series. This will allow for you to exclude any features you choose while preserving the matching shape in the series.
