Trying to Create a Data Clock

Hi everyone, 

I'm a very novice user to ArcGIS Pro (using the student edition). I'm attempting to generate a data clock, but it won't let me select anything for the date field (my options are blank). 

Wondering if someone might be able to shed light on why this might be happening?

Check your table in 'fields view' and see if you have a Date field

it is a requirement and strings that look like dates won't work
