Hi all,
im experiencing some troubles with the profile graph from a polyline, which is actaully representing the main channel of a river.
After i ran all the common procedure for catchment delineation, i ended up having a stream order raster. I used the tool Raster to Polyline to delineate the stream network. From this Attribute Table i selected all Order 6 Polylines to derive the Main Channel. I made a new layer with the selection and saved it as a feature class, so it would be its own layer. After that i ran the profile tool and then merged the polylines within the table.
The problem occurs now: When i right click on the layer and select profile graph i get this discountinous zigzag line like on the screenshot.
Anyone got an idea what i did wrong? Whenever i select another couple of polylines, merge them and run profile i get a perfectly longitudinal profile of the channel.
