Hello, I have a layer with different polygons representing surface geology, for which I have created a topology. In the Error Inspector window, under the Feature 1 and Feature 2 column, the OBJECTID is listed after the layer name (ex) quaternary 595, where 595 is the OBJECTID in the attribute table of quaternary). This forces me to open the attribute table of the layer quaternary to associate the OBJECTID with the code specifying the geology, read in the CODE column.
Is there a way to display the geology codes from the “CODE” column in the Error Inspector table instead of the OBJECTID? This was possible in the past with ArcMap. Also, when you select the Merge option, for example, the polygons are also identified by their OBJECTID (ex) quaternary 595 (Largest)) , which makes it very difficult to make the right choice. It would be so much easier if in the Merge window, we had to choose between quaternary R and quaternary T (where R is for rock and T for Till), rather than some random number with no significant meaning.
Thanks for the help! 🙂
@MadeleineSt-Cyr Good question.
ObjectIDs are the primary feature identifiers on the Error Inspector at the moment in ArcGIS Pro. User defined fields are not currently supported.
Could you please submit this as an idea?
