The ArcGIS Pro automatically eliminates the previously connected folders upon restart,
I couldn’t figure out why the ArcGIS Pro automatically eliminates the previously connected folders upon restart. Are we supposed to reconnect to all folders each time we restart the ArcGIS Pro.
For example, in the screenshot below, the “Practical3_GeoProcessing” is connected to ArcGIS Pro. Once the ArcGIS Pro is closed and restarted, the connection to that folder is no longer there!
What might be the issue here?
Thank you

Jamal
Thanks Jennifer.
This could be a good workaround.
What I’m observing at the moment that “Catalog” Pane in ArcGIS Desktop is much more flexible and powerful than the “Project” pane in the Pro. The Pro imposes strict limitations in ore than one aspect.
This feature is now available in 2.3
I need to mention that users who have been using ArcMap since ages will never know how to live with less functionalities\capabilities\options in Pro
There is also a YouTube video now outlining two different ways to save your connections in Pro depending on what best suits your workflows.
Thanks Jennifer.
ArcMap is much more intuitive when it comes to connections. One doesn’t really need all these extra steps just in order to keep the connection!
However, I preferred the “add to new projects” options over the ways included in the video
That's another great option as well Jamal! Pro has a few options to configure this. We only showcased two of the ways this can be configured in order to show there is more than one option. The best solution may vary depending on the types of day-to-day workflows of a user or organizational needs to keep the video short and show that it is simply possible. Thanks for showcasing the "add to new projects" option as well!
