Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:
-Quantify the volume of material removed from a swale using the cut/fill analysis tool in an ArcGIS Pro scene.
-Having this swale at specific elevations at a specific slope to get the correct drainage.
Data I have:
-DSM (.tiff) data for Z for the whole residential site
The current process and where I got stuck:
- Add elevation points roughly following where swale would be, on the existing surface
- Line feature connecting these dots in rough shape of 2D swale
- Buffer around 2D line feature (this tool creates a new feature)
- Cut/Fill analysis on this 'buffered' line
- Use rotation tools in this analysis to get the rough idea of the slope of the swale
- Create new polygon from this analysis (approximately at the elevations needed)
- From here I'm stuck. Need to figure out how to get the exact elevations needed on this analysis polygon so that the swale can be adjusted to the elevations/slope needed. I also need specific dimensions in a 3D space (5ft wide swale).
Thank you for your help!
